Losing all of your teeth from decay, disease or accidental injury can be devastating. You may wonder how you will function on a daily basis or if you will ever want to be out in public again. We understand the importance of your teeth, both as a tool needed to perform everyday tasks such as eating and speaking, and also for their visual appeal. Losing your teeth doesn’t have to ruin your life. When you lose all the teeth in your upper or lower jawbone, you can replace them with a complete denture. Dr. (name) has been very successful at matching dentures to a patient’s natural teeth and finding the perfect fit. We offer two kinds of dentures:
Conventional– Conventional dentures are made after the teeth are removed and your mouth has completely healed. It can take up to 6 weeks for the healing process to wrap up, and during that time the patient goes without teeth. Once your dentures are placed, they will be a near- perfect fit.
Immediate– Immediate dentures are made in advance and placed in your mouth immediately after tooth extraction. Since your mouth will take time to heal and during the healing process your gums will change and shrink, these dentures will only fit temporarily. Once your mouth has finished healing, they will need to be adjusted to ensure a good fit.
